August 9, 2009 - THAFF adds "Noche de los Muertos" screening event
The Toronto Hispano-American Film Festival is adding a special late-night "Noche de los Muertos" to this year's schedule. It's only fitting that a special horror show be added since this year's THAFF takes place following the "Day of the Dead" celebrations on November 1.
To program this special event THAFF is partnering with Toronto's Crypt Club Productions Inc. and New York's Latin Horror to present a special, creepy late-night indie horror screening.
"Noche de los Muertos" Film Submission Deadline: Friday October 16.

February 1, 2009 - THAFF 2009 Dates Announced
The Simon Bolivar Foundation announced that the largest and longest running Spanish language film festival in Canada, the Toronto Hispano-American Film Festival returns for seven days in 2009 for its 12th edition with a new selection of spectacular dramas, comedies, and documentaries from Spanish speaking countries.
The dates for THAFF 2009 are: Monday November 2 to Sunday November 8. Mark your calendars now!

May 26, 2008 - THAFF 2008 Closing & Awards Announcement
The 11th Toronto Hispano-American Film Festival closed with thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, judges, venues, and especially to our audience.
The announcement of the Jury and People's Choice awards brought some surprises as several films earned special mention.

Canada's largest & longest running Spanish language film festival, The Toronto Hispano-American Film Festival, returns for 11 days in 2008 to celebrate its 11th edition with a spectacular new selection of feature film dramas, comedies, and documentaries from Spanish speaking countries.
Come share the culture, excitement and emotion of Hispano-American cinema!Many films will be Canadian or Toronto premieres.
Downtown Toronto venues are the Bloor Cinema (506 Bloor St. West) and the NFB Mediatheque (150 John St.).
