THAFF Awards
Films screening at the THAFF are eligible for the following awards:
- People's Choice Award for Best Feature Film
- Jury Award for Best Feature Film
- Jury Award for Best Documentary Film
- Jury Award for Best Short Film
Film Categories
The THAFF will screen films in the following categories:
- Feature Film (over 60 minutes, any genre)
- Documentary Film (any duration)
- Short Film (up to 15 minutes, any genre)
Film Eligibility
A film is eligible for THAFF screening consideration if it satisfies one of the following:
- Either the producer, director, writer, or other key talent on the film has a Spanish or Latin American background,
- or -- The film deals with subject matter that concerns the Spanish or Latin American community.
Submission Period & Deadline
The film submission period begins three (3) months after the close of the THAFF.
To be considered for the next festival a film's completed submission package must reach the THAFF office no later than three (3) months before the posted start date of the next THAFF.
